Berlinale Series: Arctic Expedition Drama 'The Terror'

The Terror presents an epic spectacle in the best sense; it is based on Dan Simmons’ fictionalised account of Sir John Franklin’s Arctic expedition. The men battle with not only the natural world, but also the strict hierarchy and balance of power on board ship. The vast expanses of perpetual ice create an ominous sense of claustrophobia from which there is no escape.
